Safeguarding Notice

Last updated: April 2026

1. Our Commitment

Chat Do is built with the safety and wellbeing of children as our primary consideration. We follow the ICO Children’s Code (Age Appropriate Design Code) and the Government’s Practical Guide for Providers of Social Media and Interactive Services. The best interests of the child are central to every decision we make about data, content, and platform design.

2. Parent-Led Content

All content relating to players under the age of 18 is managed exclusively by parents or legal guardians. No child account or login is created without verified parental consent. Children under 16 must not submit any personal information directly to this website.

Children will be informed, in age-appropriate terms, that their profile data is set up and managed by their parent or guardian for their benefit and protection.

3. Coach Responsibilities

Coaches who register a squad must confirm that:

• They have obtained or will obtain parental permission for every player included in the order

• Any images or information submitted are provided with appropriate consent

• They will not submit content that is abusive, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate

4. Parental Consent for Images

By submitting a photo of a child for use on a Chat Do® Player Card, the parent or guardian confirms they have the right to provide that image and consents to its use for the purposes of producing the Player Card only. Images will not be used for advertising without separate written consent.

5. What Chat Do Will Never Do

• Create public-facing login profiles for children through this website

• Allow public messaging or commenting from unknown users

• Sell children’s personal data or use it for targeted advertising

• Profile children’s behaviour or use nudge techniques to collect unnecessary data

• Share children’s data with third parties without a compelling, documented reason in the child’s best interests

6. Security

Player profile data accessible via QR code is secured to prevent unauthorised access once the digital platform launches.

7. Reporting a Concern

Parents, coaches, or clubs may report safeguarding concerns, inappropriate content, or suspected data misuse at any time by contacting us at:  hello@chatdo.co.uk.

We are committed to reviewing and acting on all reports promptly.

8. Illegal Content Reporting

This website provides a clear mechanism to report illegal content or content involving child sexual abuse. Any such reports will be escalated immediately to the appropriate authorities.

9. Data Protection Impact Assessment

Chat Do is committed to undertaking a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) in accordance with ICO guidance, to identify and minimise data protection risks, with particular regard to children.
